Perry W. Crowley, 70, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at his residence.
He was born May 30, 1943, in Charleston, MO, the son of Joseph A. and Thelma Corrine Bone Crowley. He is survived by his fiancée, Marsha Jones; two daughters and a son, Angela (husband, Leith) Lorton of White Hall, Leigh Anne Crowley (fiancé, Tony Ortiz) of Jacksonville, and Perry (wife, Debra) Crowley of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, Justin Painter, Daniel Roegge, Morgan Crowley, Raegan Bunch, Karleigh Crowley-Ortiz, Wesley Crowley-Ortiz, Franki Crowley-Ortiz, and Trisha Knowles; one great-grandson, Cash Painter; and three brothers and two sisters, Damon Crowley, James Arthur Crowley, Square Crowley, Maudie Thomas, and Bessie Crowley. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Crowley had worked as a sewing machine mechanic for several businesses in the Jacksonville area including J.C. Capps, Norvell Shoe Repair, and owned and operated both Crowley’s Shoe Repair and J.P. Manufacturing in Roodhouse. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, barbequing, boating, and spending time at the river. Perry always was willing to help a person in need. He loved his family dearly, and immensely loved his grandchildren.
